Finance & Business Operations Specialist Job Summary
Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) provides power circuits for systems found in cloud computing, telecom infrastructure, automotive, industrial and consumer applications. MPS is seeking an energetic, efficient, self‑motivated and resourceful team player to be a member of its accounting staff supporting our local office activities in Barcelona, Spain as well as accounting and administrative support for other European subsidiaries. The Accountant reports to the Finance & Business Operations Specialist and will be based in Schaffhaussen.
EssentialFunctions
- Provide accounting and administration support for all European Subsidiaries.
- Maintain bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, cash accounts and expenses, etc. according to corporate guidelines and NIIFs.
- Reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing and/or reviewing journal vouchers, and providing management with timely and accurate reporting.
- Identify and propose accounting solutions for new or unusual business transactions, and help ensure that day‑to‑day accounting and administration is consistent with corporate accounting policies, procedures and GAAP.
- Support audits and Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance.
- Support ad hoc projects as assigned.
- BS/BA degree in accounting or related field.
- Minimum 3 years experience in similar role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Fluent in German and English (C1);
French/Spanish (B2) is a plus.
