Key Responsibilities- Accountable for engineering project management and project execution to high standards, ensuring projects completed on time and on budget.
- Responsible and accountable for the safe execution of job activities in compliance with EHS guidelines, environmental, regulatory (cGMP), corporate site and team practices and procedures.
- Close collaboration with stakeholders on site (Business Units, QA, EHS&S, sustainability, etc.) as well as with the global organization (MAM LM Platform, Engineering & Property Services).
- Initiation of business cases supporting the project funding approval processes.
- University degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical or Chemical discipline.
- A minimum of 6 years of relevant business experience with a proven track record in Project Engineering within the pharmaceutical or chemical industry equating to 6 years with a Master’s degree, 8 years with a Bachelor’s degree, and 3 years with a PhD.
- Excellent organization and communication skills with the ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
- Familiarity with project management approaches, engineering processes and design thinking methodology.
- Certification in FPX and/or Lean processes is a plus.
- Passionate about sustainability and good understanding of environmental challenges and decarbonization and cleantech solutions.
- Self-driven, well-organized and able to set own targets.
- Decisiveness, brainpower and aim to take care of various issues and projects simultaneously.
- Collaboration with others and work well in project teams.
- Coaching, Collaboration, Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), Critical Thinking, Customer Centricity, Feasibility Studies, Lean Supply Chain Management, Organizational Project Management, Problem Solving, Project Engineering, Quality Assurance (QA), Regulatory Compliance, Relationship Building, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Application, Scientific Research, Supply Planning, Technologically Savvy.
- Fluency (oral and written) in German and English with exceptional communication skills.
Occasional regional travel, as needed (less than 10%).
