Job Description

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicines Supply Chain Global Planning are recruiting for a Senior Manager Site Planning. This position will be located in Switzerland (Schaffhausen) and the successful candidate will report to Director Site Planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of planners and manage plant planning activities; partner across site planning functions to create a realistic plan for reliable product supply for clinical and commercial programs.
  • Partner actively with cross‑functions to proactively drive decisions for capacity trade‑offs to meet demand and deliver new product introductions.
  • Create, develop, and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to ensure that customer requirements and inventory targets are met while facilitating efficient manufacturing operations; proactively identify constraints or potential issues and develop options for resolution.
  • Develop and implement simulations, reports, and presentations to support management decisions on asset/product level for the Supply Review Meetings (SRM).
  • Ensure site adherence to the Monthly Planning Process and provide input to the Integrated Business Process (IBP).
  • Provide site inventory projections and analyze actuals versus projections; identify and implement inventory management opportunities that improve profitability through cost reduction, cost avoidance, and process improvements.
  • Own the site Short‑Term Exception Management (STEM) process.
  • Drive continuous improvement of site planning processes to deliver more reliable supply.
  • Partner with End‑to‑End (E2E) Planning and other key functions to understand, assess and proactively respond to evolving market opportunities.
  • Ensure accuracy of planning parameters within relevant systems.
  • Continually develop the team to meet the demands of a modern supply chain while growing the capabilities of individual members.
  • Deliver on metrics, including, not limited to – OTIF, Schedule attainment, Inventory and SLOB targets.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business, supply chain management or related field is required. An advanced degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
Experience
  • 8+ years of relevant Supply Chain experience (including manufacturing, logistics, planning) is required.
  • People management/supervisory experience is desirable.
  • Experience in healthcare or similarly complex, regulatory‑dependent sector is preferred.
Knowledge,

Skills And Abilities
  • Strong written and oral communications skills (English required, German desirable) are critical for success in this role.
  • Supply chain planning experience required, preferably in a multi‑echelon supply chain.
  • Experience working across organizational boundaries in a global environment is required.
  • SAP experience is required.
  • APICS / LEAN certifications are preferred.
  • Ability to develop and coach a team in the execution, strategies and realization of departmental and company goals.
