- Define, implement, and maintain global analytical quality standards, governance, and testing strategies for active ingredient, formulation manufacturing, and externally tolled production.
- Provide global oversight of analytical quality for toll manufacturing, ensuring consistent application of analytical controls, methods, and quality requirements.
- Lead analytical involvement in the design, setup, and operationalization of the Schaffhausen analytical laboratory, including laboratory strategy, equipment, and capabilities.
- Drive analytical technology leadership through the evaluation, implementation, and continuous improvement of analytical methods, technologies, and capital projects.
- Oversee the analytical method lifecycle, including method development, validation, transfer, governance, and ongoing performance monitoring.
- Serve as the global escalation point for complex analytical quality issues, supporting investigations, risk mitigation, and resolution across the network.
- Provide analytical expertise to support intellectual property, brand protection, customer, regulatory, and internal audit activities.
- Lead and develop analytical quality teams through coaching, training, and knowledge sharing, fostering strong scientific expertise and a culture of quality excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline required;
Master’s or PhD preferred. - Minimum 7 years of experience in analytical chemistry, quality control, or quality assurance within a regulated manufacturing or R&D environment.
- Proven leadership in laboratory safety, with a strong track record of establishing and maintaining safe working practices.
- Strong technical expertise in analytical method development, validation, transfer, and troubleshooting using techniques such as HPLC, GC, LC-MS, GC-MS, IR spectroscopy, and titration.
- Experience supporting analytical technology transfer, preferably including collaboration with external manufacturing or external manufacturing partners.
- Strong analytical thinking and sound decision-making skills, with a pragmatic, data-driven approach to problem solving.
- Ability to interpret and apply complex scientific principles within a global manufacturing and quality environment.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across functions, regions, and cultures.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate, and drive results in cross-functional and matrix organizations.
