Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician

We are seeking a dedicated Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician for an 87-day assignment in Georgia, starting Oct 23, 2024. Our client requires coverage for clinic, inpatient consults, and night/weekend call, with duties focusing on managing high-risk OB patients, providing 24-hour inpatient call coverage, and conducting clinic during typical hours. This role offers an opportunity to provide specialized care while utilizing Meditech EHR.

Practice Info

• Primarily Inpatient with ambulatory clinic duties
• EMR System:

• Patient Volume:
  Approximately 16-22 patients per day
• Staffing Mix:
  Includes 2 Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, and Medical Assistants
• Serving as the only perinatal center in the area

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour inpatient call coverage.
• Conduct 8-9 hour clinic days.
• Manage high-risk OB patients, including those with hypertension, pregnancy-induced hypertension, medical complications in pregnancy, and perinatal genetics.
• Cover both clinic and inpatient settings.
• Perform medical decision making on the antepartum floor.
• Perform Cerclages and Amniocentesis.
• Provide care in ambulatory clinics and for inpatients.
• Accept transports from other facilities, serving as the only perinatal center in the area.
• Act as the primary physician for medical decision making when working with residents.
