Position OverviewCibolo Creek Surgery Center is hiring a RN Pre Op/PACU to provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients. The role focuses on weekdays only—no holidays, weekends, or on‑call—though some early mornings and later evenings may be required. The schedule is subject to change based on the surgical schedule and daily flow.
ResponsibilitiesThe Pre Op/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuous evaluation of patients’ conditions, ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. Responsibilities include assisting physicians in procedure rooms with tasks such as conscious sedation and sterile technique, and delivering comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation. Duties also cover assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient and family needs in preparation for discharge.
Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
- Active RN license in the state
- BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center
- 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
- Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
- Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
