Mechanical Assembly Foreman who is ‘equipped for impact’

About the position of Mechanical Assembly Foreman

You will be responsible for the work of a team of mechanical fitters. As well as keeping an eye on quality, you will also keep an eye on safety. Your personal development is also part of the deal. We always encourage training.

What do we expect of you?

Your will be responsible for:

  • Managing a team of Mechanical Fitters during assembly, installation and maintenance work on various mechanical components and systems. You ensure the work is carried out efficiently and is completed within the set time limits;
  • Responsible for compliance with safety regulations and quality standards to ensure a safe working environment and proper execution of work. You ensure the team works according to the applicable guidelines and procedures;
  • Organising the work and allocating tasks within your team, allocating resources and monitoring progress. You supervise the planning and ensure deadlines are met;
  • Managing and motivating the team. You contribute to a positive working atmosphere and encourage team members to deliver their best performance. You provide support and guidance where necessary;
  • Reporting to the Supervisor on the progress of projects, any bottlenecks and possible improvements. You communicate effectively and contribute to achieving the project goals;
  • You contribute to the continuous improvement of work processes and identifying efficiency improvements within the team. You proactively think about possible optimisations and implement improvements where possible.

You have:

  • At least a completed senior secondary vocational education course in mechanical engineering or a comparable technical course;
  • Extensive experience in mechanical assembly, for some time in a managerial or coordinating role;
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, components and tools;
  • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications;
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to plan and coordinate work effectively;
  • The ability to motivate and manage a team;
  • A valid VCA VOL certificate;
  • The certificates, such as a hoisting or crane certificate, which are essential to work safely and in accordance with the regulations.
Some practical things we need you to have:
  • An EU passport/valid work permit for the Netherlands;
  • A good command of the English language verbally and in writing.
