Role Overview
We are now looking for a Senior Service Engineer (m/f/d) Navigation to join our team in Schiedam, The Netherlands. In this position, you will be responsible for commissioning, servicing, and handing over navigation systems to customers within shipbuilding and vessel operation projects. This is a hands‑on role requiring both technical expertise and strong communication skills, with frequent travel within Europe and occasional global assignments.

Key Responsibilities

Commission and service the full spectrum of marine navigation systems

Perform system checks of complex equipment and constructions in shipbuilding projects

Carry out commissioning and adjustments in line with customer requirements and warranty obligations

Participate in sea trials and, when required, accompany vessels as warranty engineer

Present and hand over navigation systems to shipowners, shipyards, and classification societies

Conduct repairs and installations, including configuration, parameterization, and related order processing

Key Requirements

Degree or diploma in a relevant technical field (e.g. electronics, automation, navigation) or equivalent practical experience

Several years of professional experience in a comparable service/commissioning role

Structured, solution‑oriented, and hands‑on working style

Excellent social and intercultural communication skills

Fluency in Dutch and English (written and spoken)

Willingness to travel frequently within Europe and occasionally worldwide
