Contract:
Full-time contract assignment - Running until December 2027
Our client is looking for an experienced Site Engineer – AC Substations to support a major offshore energy infrastructure project contributing to the European energy transition. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a landmark project involving the development of offshore high-voltage infrastructure, including AC substations, export cable systems and renewable energy connections. You will join a multidisciplinary project team working alongside experienced engineering, construction and inspection professionals to deliver a critical part of the future energy network.
The Role
Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for supporting site delivery, ensuring safety, quality and technical standards are maintained throughout the construction and outfitting phases.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting the Construction Manager with day-to-day site activities.
Acting as the link between site teams and engineering teams for technical queries.
Providing technical support across electromechanical installation activities.
Working closely with inspectors, engineers, contractors and project stakeholders.
Supporting quality management processes, including inspections, documentation and non-conformance management.
Reviewing contractor documentation and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
Coordinating vendor activities on site.
Supporting reporting activities, including weekly and monthly progress reports.
Providing technical guidance and acting as a point of knowledge for site teams.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
A minimum of 2 years' relevant site engineering experience.
A background in electrical and/or electromechanical engineering.
Experience working on offshore, marine or large-scale energy projects (preferred).
Experience with topside outfitting or complex multidisciplinary construction environments.
Strong understanding of quality control and assurance processes.
Experience working across multiple disciplines on construction sites.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A strong safety and quality mindset.
Qualifications & Skills
Engineering qualification (Electrical/Electromechanical preferred).
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly reporting and documentation.
Experience with Aconex or similar document management systems.
Offshore energy or high-voltage infrastructure experience.
Languages
Dutch language skills advantageous.
Additional Requirements
Own PPE required, including:
Safety boots
Safety helmet
Hi-vis clothing
Safety glasses
Ear protection
