Elicron (formerly Permascand and Magneto Special Anodes) is a globally leading company in advanced electrochemical solutions. Built on more than 125 years of combined experience, Elicron brings together around 350 specialists across Europe, North America, and Asia, with expertise that supports long-term industrial needs and green transition.

This is the role

As our Global Head of IT, you will work in a hybrid model (requiring a minimum of 2 days per week at our Schiedam facility) with a global scope spanning the Netherlands, Sweden, and China. Reporting directly to the CFO (with a dotted line to the Finance Director), this is a strategic key addition to our leadership team. You will set global direction, drive process standardization, and align IT capabilities across all sites.

The Challenge:
Establish a 3-to-5-year global IT strategy that drives business growth and digital process efficiency across our enterprise functions, while securing robust network infrastructure and cybersecurity for our manufacturing sites (leaving local shopfloor/OT automation under local plant ownership). You will streamline core platforms (including Monitor ERP as our central business platform), guide data governance, and safely harness technological developments such as AI.

Rather than managing through direct line authority, your mission is to bring change through clear targets, structured processes, and strong collaboration across regional teams.

The Daily Flow:
You operate as a strategic direction-setter and a trusted go-to resource for critical infrastructure stability and business continuity. Globally, you align with experienced IT colleagues in Sweden and China, as well as our primary IT provider, GDM—building on their strong historical bonds while ensuring high service quality, robust systems, and policy compliance (including NIS2 and GDPR). Locally in Schiedam, you will embrace the operational environment (approx.

25% hands‑on involvement initially) to help design and transition our future Dutch IT operating model.
