Assistant Childcare Teacher Part Time

Overview

We are looking for part-time preschool assistant teachers (Monday through Friday, 1:30-6PM or similar hours) to join our team. If you are interested in a career working with children, we’d love to talk about what your career path could look like in early childhood education. This is a great opportunity for college students seeking part-time work to gain teaching experience in early childhood education.

Compensation: $15.13 - $18.00 per hour

• Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment
• Supporting each child’s social and emotional development
• Establishing positive and effective family relations
• Collaborating with the lead teacher and the entire faculty

• Education in Early Childhood or related field preferred but not required
• Experience working with children
• Develops relationships and communicates effectively with children, parents, and faculty
• Works productively without supervision
• Shows empathy and compassion for young children
• Dependable and adaptable and enjoys working toward a common goal
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong listening and follow-up abilities
• Ability to calmly address stressful situations while multi-tasking to support smooth school operations
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with handling of children;
  Infant/Young Toddler roles require lifting infants into/out of cribs
