Your Opportunity to Make a DifferenceWe are seeking an Instructional Paraprofessional
- Debriefing Intervention who is dedicated, compassionate, and ready to bring their expertise and heart into a school that values innovation, support, and collaboration.
- Attend regular training sessions on crisis management, including de-escalation strategies, safe restraint techniques, and guidelines for implementing therapeutic holds.
- Respond promptly and effectively to student crisis situations to de-escalate behaviors, ensure the safety of all students and staff, and complete all required incident reporting.
- Develop, document, and implement individualized behavior management plans in collaboration with the counseling team.
- Provide in-the-moment counseling and behavioral support to students in crisis, working closely with supervisors, school psychologists, and social workers.
- Certification in the administration of safe restraint techniques by Handle with Care and CDT Personal Protection Training.
- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role preferred.
- Proficiency in technology and school-specific software.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, handle multiple tasks at once, and exercise discretion.
- Working knowledge of laws and regulations governing special education and demonstrated ability to effectively provide testing, psychological evaluation, and counseling services.
