Truck Driver CDL A

Position Description

We are looking for a Class A CDL Flatbed Truck Driver to work on a SOLO (home daily) schedule, covering routes between Scott and Houston at Ryder.

• Weekly pay: $1,385 or more (includes weekly alignment).
• Solo Miles Pay: $0.60 per mile with up to 2,100 miles per week.
• Solo Stops Pay: $25.00 per stop with up to 5 stops per week.
• Paid Training.
• Schedule:
  
  Sunday to Thursday. Start times:
  Sunday 9:00 PM, Monday–Thursday 10:00 PM.

• Uniform and boot allowance.
• Paid Personal Time Off starts day 1 – 80 hours accrued in first year.
• Payment of unused vacation time at hourly pay rate.
• Medical, dental, vision coverage start 30 days.

• Truck ownership program for OT drivers.

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check (including drug/alcohol verification of the last 3 years).
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Class A CDL experience (tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle):
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years.
• or 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years.
• or 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs.
• Loading/unloading or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight as required by the customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
