Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Manager

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Controller to join our financial leadership team at Wellness Equity Alliance (WEA), a dynamic medical organization with multiple locations in multiple states. The Controller will play a critical role in managing the accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, and supporting the strategic objectives of the facility.

• Financial Management & Reporting:
• Oversee all aspects of financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
• Collaborate with leadership to prepare and monitor budgets and forecasts for multiple sites.
• Accounting Operations:
• Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed asset management.
• Ensure efficient processes for month-end and year-end close procedures.
• Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures to enhance internal controls and compliance.
• Compliance & Audit:
• Coordinate and manage all internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for healthcare and financial reporting.
• Work with the senior leadership to develop and enforce financial governance policies.
• Financial Analysis & Strategy:
• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, profitability assessments, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Partner with senior management to identify opportunities for financial growth and efficiency.
• System Management:
• Oversee and optimize financial systems and software to streamline processes and improve reporting capabilities.
• Lead initiatives for system enhancements or transitions, ensuring minimal disruption to financial operations.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 7-10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3-5 years in a management role within a healthcare setting and/or multi-location organization.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Net Suite) and strong knowledge of ERP systems. Advanced Excel skills required.
• Leadership:
  Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team, drive efficiency, and adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Communication:
  Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments and with senior leadership.

• Experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) in a healthcare context.
• Familiarity with healthcare-specific regulatory and financial compliance requirements.
• Project management experience for system upgrades or financial process improvements.
