Payment Operations Specialist II (Platte Valley Companies - Scottsbluff, NE)Job Summary
The Payment Operations Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient processing of electronic payment services, including ACH, wires, and bill pay. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical aptitude, and the ability to collaborate across departments to maintain compliance and deliver exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities- ACH Configuration & Support
- Build and Monitor ACH files for accuracy and compliance with NACHA rules.
- Assist with troubleshooting ACH exceptions and customer inquiries.
- Wire Transfer Backup & Support
- Serve as a backup for wire processing and verification.
- Ensure adherence to security protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Bill Pay Assistance
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues promptly.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Data, Treasury, Compliance, and IT teams to support payment operations.
- Maintain audit, security, compliance and regulatory standards.
- Stay informed of procedural changes and process improvements.
- Maintain knowledge of NACHA and regulatory guidelines.
- Demonstrate commitment to professional development, including pursuit of AAP accreditation within 18‑24 months.
- Experience in Banking, Operations, Bookkeeping or similar.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Math proficiency and aptitude.
- Knowledge of computer systems and operations is required. Microsoft Word & Excel required.
- Demonstrated aptitude to handle sensitive operational transactions and customer relationships.
- Professional appearance.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
- Must be capable of working with and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.
Light Work - exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
