Under general direction, installs, maintains, and repairs plant machinery, equipment, and physical structures related to aggregate pit and plant screening operations; also assists with general plant/pit operations as needed.

Qualified candidates will have a solid mechanical aptitude and basic to intermediate welding and fabrication experience. Must be willing to perform a variety of duties in all areas of plant operations and enjoy working primarily outdoors in all types of weather conditions.

• Support, promote, and practice the Company core values, vision, and mission; follow code of ethics, workplace conduct, safety, and other established policies
• Observe safety procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials accurately
• Communicate professionally with others in person, over the phone, and on company radio channels
• Perform manual/physical tasks required in plant operation and maintenance activities
• Work closely with plant operators, equipment operators, drivers and others in completion of assigned tasks
• Maintain plant equipment and facilities to meet operating requirements and objectives
• Visually inspect and test plant machinery and equipment
• Perform maintenance tasks on plant equipment and facilities
• Perform repairs to worn processing equipment according to plant standards
• Collect data for preventative and predictive plant maintenance projects
• Perform welding and cutting assignments, including fabrication for plant equipment and structures
• Inspect lubrication of mechanical equipment, record data for running equipment, take lab samples as required
• Change oil and filters on fixed and mobile machinery
• Operate mobile heavy industrial equipment and/or company vehicles used to complete maintenance and perform other tasks involved in plant maintenance and operation as required
• Perform other duties and assist with projects as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/tech school training a plus
• MSHA certification or ability to acquire certification required
• Valid drivers’ license with ability to maintain a clean driving history required

• 3+ years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience with aggregate processing (crushing) equipment
• Proficiency in operation of industrial and heavy equipment
• Proficiency with mobile devices and other technology used in daily operations
• Ability to read and interpret signage and/or written instructions (safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure…
