Full‑Time Senior Pastor

First Baptist Church, a multigenerational Southern Baptist congregation in Scottsboro, Alabama, is seeking a Spirit‑led, biblically grounded Senior Pastor.

Responsibilities

Deliver sound biblical sermons
Oversee pastoral care and offer spiritual counseling
Lead vision and ministry efforts
Oversee church operations
Support evangelism, disciple‑making, and missions
Work alongside staff, deacons, and ministry teams to ensure alignment with the Baptist Faith and Message (2000)

Qualifications

Meet biblical qualifications for pastoral leadership (1 Timothy 3:1–7; Titus 1:5–9)
Be ordained within the Southern Baptist Convention
Preferably hold a theological degree and have at least five years of ministry experience

Relocation & Compensation

Relocation to Scottsboro is expected.

Compensation will be based on education, experience, and expertise.
