Designer Sales Team Member

Basic Function:
This position requires a smile, a positive, friendly presence while interacting with guests on the retail sales floor. Also, a basis of understanding of designer items and sales techniques is desirable, but not necessary to apply for this position. The main function of this position is to interact with our guests. Make every effort to ensure that each guest that you meet is having an exceptional shopping experience and if they are not, understand what you can do to help the situation.

Remember that serving our guests is our goal and that is simply learning what their designer wants, interests and needs are. With strong emphasis on developing product knowledge for a long‑term, professional position within our company. A professional appearance is required.

• Exceptional guest service is necessary in this one‑on‑one sales environment. Make each guest feel welcome and give good guest service to each guest you encounter; learning their designer wants, interests and needs.
• Be familiar with and willing to learn diverse types of designer merchandise, including variations wallets, purses, fragrances, shoes, and cosmetics.
• Be familiar with and willing to become more knowledgeable in current trends and designs in designer merchandise, as instructed by the designer sales area supervisor.
• Be familiar with the location of merchandise and help guests locate items of interest.
• Basic function and understanding of the cash register will be required.
• Keep merchandise straightened, clean and organized by following weekly task guidelines.
• Responsible for keeping showcases stocked and floor space stocked with designer merchandise being in stock is an important aspect of the guest experience.
• Maintaining a complete stock of paper supplies (i.e., bags, boxes, tissue paper, etc.).
• Report all suspicious activity or shoplifting to the Asset Protection Manager in a timely manner.
• Report any merchandise issues or product loss to Designer sales area supervisor.
• All other tasks assigned by store leaders.

• Light to moderate lifting is required.
• Repetitive motion is also required.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

32–40 hours per week position requiring one to be at work as early as 6:00 am and stay as late as needed based on store open for business hours, including Saturdays. Flexibility in scheduling is required. Saturdays are required; on average one Saturday off each month. All major holidays are a requirement (excluding Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day). Wednesday and Friday of Thanksgiving Week are required.

Annual Winter & Ski Event (1st Saturday in November) required.

Reporting Relationship:
Reports directly to the designer area supervisor.
