The OpportunityWe are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to launch an accounting career in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
In this role, you will assist with a variety of accounting tasks including data entry, reconciliation, and supporting the month-end close. You will work directly with the Controller and other team members to learn and grow in a collaborative and supportive setting. Responsibilities- Assist with daily accounting tasks such as data entry and transaction processing.
- Help with month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Support bank and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing functions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of financial transactions.
- Contribute to audit preparation by organizing supporting documentation.
- Help maintain internal control procedures and accounting documentation.
- Provide administrative and analytical support to the Controller and accounting team.
- Participate in team projects and process improvement initiatives as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or in final year of completing degree).
- 0–2 years of accounting or finance experience (internships, part-time roles, or school projects count!).
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables).
- Familiarity with Quick Books or similar accounting software – a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- A positive attitude and eagerness to take on new challenges.
- This is a full-time, W2 role based in the U.S.
- Visa sponsorship is not available.
- Candidates must be local to the Scottsdale/Phoenix area. Relocation is not an option.
- 100% onsite work is required.
