Staff Accountant

Headfarmer is partnering working with a well-regarded company in the greater Phoenix area that’s seeking a sharp and dependable Staff Accountant to join its growing finance team. • Handle a variety of general ledger activities, including preparing journal entries and performing key account reconciliations
• Support the month-end close process by identifying variances and ensuring accuracy
• Uphold GAAP standards in all work and contribute to maintaining strong internal controls
• Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives
• Collaborate across teams and departments to ensure smooth financial operations
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while handling sensitive data

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end processes
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and juggle multiple priorities
• Clear and confident communicator who takes initiative and follows through
• Experience with ERP systems like Net Suite is a plus
• Audit experience is a plus (will consider someone straight out of public accounting)
