Service Technician -Apprentice

Certified Benz & Beemer ("CBB") is a family-owned luxury pre-owned dealership celebrating its 18th year as Arizona's premier luxury pre-owned automobile dealer. We are looking to hire a Mechanic Apprentice for our Service Department who is eager to learn and develop their automotive skillset. In this role, you'll work under the supervision of one of our top mechanics. They'll instruct you and give you tasks to complete each day that center around the repair and maintenance of our customers' vehicles.

You will learn how to perform vehicle inspections, make basic repairs, order parts, and maintain inventory. You will also get experience with performing various maintenance and repair tasks on cars, trucks, and SUVs. For example, you'll help with the replacement of faulty parts, engine repairs, and resolving problems in vehicles' electrical systems. Truly, an opportunity to EARN WHILE YOU LEARN.

To do well in this position, you will need to be dedicated to improving your skill set and capable of learning on the job. It would be beneficial if you were good with your hands and already had some familiarity with basic automotive repair and maintenance tasks.

• Perform standard mechanical repairs, such as changing brake pads
• Learning repair techniques under the supervision of one of our mechanics

• Learning how to diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.

Qualifications

• A completed certificate or diploma in auto mechanics may be advantageous
• Basic understanding of mechanics
• Must have a valid driver's license and be familiar with both manual and automatic transmission types.
