The RoleSr. Manager of Amazon Marketplace owns the growth and profitability of M Drive’s third party marketplaces, with Amazon as the primary revenue driver and and future marketplaces as growth extensions.
This role is accountable for revenue, margin, media efficiency, and brand execution across marketplaces. Sr. Manager of Amazon Marketplace works closely with the CEO, VP of Marketing, COO, and external partners to ensure marketplace performance supports M Drive’s One Vision plan.
This is a revenue owner role, not a channel manager role.
Core Responsibilities Marketplace Revenue Ownership (Primarily Amazon)- Own marketplace revenue, contribution margin, and media efficiency
- Set annual and quarterly growth plans aligned to company targets
- Position Amazon as a primary conversion engine within the broader marketing flywheel
- Lead Amazon strategy across paid media, organic rank, pricing, promotions, and inventory health
- Oversee PDP optimization, A plus content, Brand Store execution, and conversion improvements
- Partner with brand and creative teams to maintain M Drive standards on Amazon
- Stay current on platform changes and competitive trends
- Own strategy and execution for and future marketplaces
- Define channel specific assortment, pricing, and promotional plans
- Maintain brand consistency and margin discipline across platforms
- Act as the internal owner for external Amazon and marketplace agencies
- Hold partners accountable to clear KPIs and business outcomes
- Manage relationships with Amazon Vendor or Seller teams and marketplace partners
- Evaluate when to outsource versus build in house capabilities
- Present weekly marketplace performance tied to executive scorecards
- Surface risks early and lead corrective action
- Turn data into decisions and priorities
- Advertising efficiency including ROAS and TACoS
- Conversion rate and subscription mix where applicable
- In stock rate and Buy Box health
- Five to eight plus years owning Amazon or marketplace revenue
- Experience managing five million plus in annual marketplace sales
- Strong understanding of Amazon advertising, merchandising, and profitability
- Cross functional leadership experience with marketing, operations, and finance
- Comfort presenting performance and decisions to executive leadership
- or multi marketplace experience is a plus
Marketplace is not just a sales channel for M Drive. It is a core profit and conversion engine for national demand created through endorsers, retail, and media.
This role exists to own that engine, scale it responsibly, and strengthen the entire business.
