Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and proactive Construction Safety Advisor to support and promote a strong safety culture across our construction projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with project managers, supervisors, and field personnel to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and industry best practices. This role is critical in preventing incidents, reducing risk, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Advise management and field teams on construction safety policies, procedures, and best practices
- Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
- Identify unsafe conditions or behaviors and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and local safety regulations
- Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and training sessions for employees and subcontractors
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near‑misses; prepare reports and corrective action plans
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, records, and reports
- Support project teams during pre‑job planning and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
- Serve as a point of contact for safety‑related concerns on assigned projects
- Promote a culture of safety accountability at all levels
- Minimum of 2 years of construction safety experience
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards
- OSHA 30‑hour certification required (OSHA 500/510 preferred)
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Experience conducting safety training and jobsite inspections
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast‑paced environments
- Proficiency with safety reporting tools and Microsoft Office
- Ability to walk construction jobsites for extended periods
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
