Position Overview:

As an Orthodontic Clinical Assistant at APDO, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and delightful experience for our patients. Your professionalism, superior customer service and communication skills, and attention to detail will help uphold our reputation for high-end orthodontic care.

• Assist orthodontists during patient appointments
• Fit bands for appliances, place arch wires, bond brackets, place fixed retainers, take impressions and digital scans (iTero)
• Provide patient education on care and orthodontic instructions

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program is preferred
• DANB X-ray certification required (in certification process is acceptable)
• Experience in an orthodontic setting is a plus but not required
• Excellent communication skills, especially when interacting with children and parents
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine interest in helping young patients have positive dental experiences
• Familiarity with dental software for charting and record-keeping
• Knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Compensation: $20-$24 hourly for eligible roles (40 hours per week). In addition to hourly pay, benefits include:
