Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct dental cleanings by removing accretions, stains, and deposits above and below gum lines using dental tools.
- Perform oral cancer screenings by checking lymph nodes for signs of swelling or soreness.
- Review and update patient medical histories, ensuring accurate records.
- Document dental decay and disease, assisting dentists in diagnosing and treatment planning.
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments to the highest standards.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and promote preventative care.
- Collaborate with the dentist to deliver personalized treatment plans.
- Help patients maintain a dental hygiene regimen tailored to their needs.
- Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited institution.
- Current Hygiene License issued by the state.
- Current CPR certification.
- Hepatitis B immunization is up-to-date.
- Proficiency in administering local anesthetics and operating x-ray machines.
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal).
- In-depth knowledge of oral hygiene practices and dental health topics.
- Availability on Saturdays is required.
