Senior Architectural Designer Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Architectural Designer who excels in team leadership, project coordination, and design excellence. The ideal candidate will mentor and guide junior designers while managing their own projects with minimal supervision. This role involves delivering high-quality designs from the entitlements phase through construction documents, ensuring client satisfaction and project success evil
Responsibilities- Mentor and manage junior designers, providing oversight and feedback to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Manage design projects independently, offering input on team members' projects.
- Coordinate a smooth transition from design to construction documents.
- Deliver project designs through the entitlements phase, assisting the production team.
- Mitigate risks and resolve design issues to ensure client success.
- Define client goals and align expectations, representing the firm in client and regulatory meetings.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and entitlement submittals.
- Conduct site feasibility research and site visits as required.
- Identify emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance design quality.
- Proficiency in Revit and MS 365.
- Highly experienced in schematic design and project coordination.
- Experience working on midrise hospitality projects, particularly 5‑story buildings.
- Ability to maintain and develop client relationships.
- Well‑versed in zoning regulations and building codes.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Architecture.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in midrise hospitality design (e.g., Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt).
- Proficient in Bluebeam.
- Experience with AI technology.
- Experience working on construction documents.
- Interior Design experience.
This role is based on‑site at our Scottsdale office, which offers flexible start hours. hög The team consists of three employees, providing an intimate and collaborative work environment. There is significant potential for leadership opportunities and business development within the office.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Scottsdale, Arizona.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90,000–$100,000 per annum.
