We are seeking a Structural Designer to work on various Minerals and Metals projects. The preferred location for this position is Scottsdale, AZ (near Phoenix, AZ), though other locations may be considered.

As a Structural Designer, you will participate in a wide range of exciting projects by providing design / drafting support, including 2D drawings and 3D modelling for industrial building foundation and structure, equipment foundation and service platform structure, pipe / cable rack foundation and structure, ducting support foundation and structures on mineral and metal process plants, gas clean facilities, material handling facilities, and acid plant projects.

Produce 3D models in Smartplant 3D, Revit, or Advanced steel, and generate the 2D drawings from 3D model.

Prepare the 2D drawings using AutoCAD or Micro Station.

Develop the 2D drawings of structure / foundation plans, sections, elevations as per engineer design sketches.

Develop the details as per engineer design.

Prepare the material take‑off from the drawings.

Review rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received from engineers to ensure that they conform to design concepts.

Other duties as applicable.

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent technical discipline plus five years' experience, or Associate's degree plus a minimum of twelve years' progressive drafting and design experience, including at least four as a Designer, or HS diploma (or equivalent) plus a minimum of fifteen years progressive drafting and design experience,

including at least seven as a Designer.

Must have experience in 2D and 3D designs for concrete foundation, concrete structure, steel structure.

Mining industrial plant and facility experience preferred.

Thorough knowledge of applicable theories, practices, and accepted office procedures.

Must be proficient with AutoCAD, Revit or Smartplant 3D.

Familiar to structural design standards.

Experience in advanced Steel is a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, ability to maintain confidential information critical.
