Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill an Advanced Space Systems Engineer position that just opened in Scottsdale, AZ
. In this role, you will apply systems engineering principles to space-based systems, including digital signal processing algorithms implemented in hardware and software. To be considered, you will have a Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 5 years of related experience.

Position: Advanced Space Systems Engineer
Contract: 24 months or longer
Pay: $68.34/hour
- Apply systems engineering principles to space-based systems, including digital signal processing algorithms implemented in hardware and software.
- Perform statistical analysis of signal parameter measurements using Detection & Estimation Theory, Random Processes Analysis, and Communications & Information Theory.
- Utilize MATLAB for DSP and related toolboxes; experience with radar processing, RF mitigation, Monte Carlo analysis, or phased array/beamforming is highly desirable.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or related field (Science, Engineering, Mathematics).
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 3+ years. Agile development experience preferred.
- Security Clearance: U.S. citizenship required; must meet eligibility for classified information access.
- Python programming
- Small Sat and Cube Sat development
- Hardware prototype development and integration ("Flat Sat," hardware-in-the-loop testing)
- Electrical or systems engineering with communications/DSP focus
- Agile hardware/software/firmware development, Dev Ops, CI/CD
- Digital Engineering/MBSE (SysML, Magic Draw, Cameo)
- Space payload design, development, and integration/testing
- Strong grasp of systems engineering concepts and technical standards
- Expertise in requirements management and system modeling tools
- Creative problem-solving and ability to adapt quickly
- Collaborative team player committed to professional growth
- 100% onsite
- Flexible schedules (9/80 option)
