Pay Estimated: $50-$57/Hour Top Secret Clearance Make the world's most advanced SDA O&I/GMI even smarter by supporting the SDA team as a PWSA Enterprise Level Engineer. The Ground Management and Integration (GMI) program is part of the PWSA program. It continues the Ground Segment work underway on the Tranche 1 (T1) Operations and Integration (O&I) program.

Responsibilities:
* As a Systems Engineer for the SDA GMI program, you will be a key member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and deploying state-of-the-art ground operational systems. Your contributions will be vital to the success and innovation of the program.

Qualifications:

* U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
* Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire.
* Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
* 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

Preferred Experience:

* Domain Knowledge:
* Ground system design or scheduling knowledge
* Tracking mission design knowledge
* Satellite communications knowledge
* Ground to satellite communication knowledge
* Technical

Skills:

* Experience with system/software design for cloud-based microservice architecture
* Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
* Familiarity with operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows)
* Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
* Systems Design and Integration :
* Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and methodologies
* Experience with systems design, integration, and validation
* Proficiency in requirements analysis and system architecture design
* Dev Ops and Continuous Integration:
* Understanding of Dev Ops principles and practices
* Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
* Cloud and

Infrastructure:
* Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
Knowledge of infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Formation)
* Security and Compliance:
* Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices
* Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) Preferred Technical Background:
* Systems Engineering:
* Proficiency in systems engineering, decomposing requirements into architecture, internal and external interfaces, and design behavior
* Experience with ground pre-planned or ad-hoc scheduling and situational awareness of satellites and payloads
* Experience with tracking IR payload or ground mission data transport, handling, and analysis
* Experience decomposing high-level space-ground systems design into ground software/systems design
* Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE):
* Experience with MBSE methodologies and tools such as CAMEO or Magic Draw
* Programming and Tools

Skills:

* Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, and MATLAB, including for software developer coordination, system analysis, prototype algorithm development, or modeling
* Cloud Computing:
* Knowledge of cloud technologies and their application in system design and deployment
* Dev Ops and Automation :
* Understanding of Dev Ops principles and practices

Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
* Security and Compliance:
