In this job you will be responsible for designing and implementing SDN solutions on a multi-transport, networking radio utilizing your expertise in network engineering, software development, and SDN technologies.

Responsibilities:
* Design and develop SDN solutions to enhance network performance, scalability, and flexibility.
* Implement and manage SDN controllers and network virtualization technologies.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SDN solutions such as Modular RF, Seeker, and Viasat's Net Agility.
* Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues, providing timely resolutions.
* Develop and maintain documentation for SDN architectures, configurations, and procedures.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest SDN technologies and industry trends to ensure best practices.
* Participate in network architecture design and capacity planning.
* Automate network provisioning, configuration, and management tasks using SDN tools and scripting languages.
* Provide technical support and training to team members and stakeholders on SDN technologies.

Qualifications:

* U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required
* Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, and 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 6+ years of job-related experience
* Proven experience in network engineering and SDN technologies.
* Strong understanding of network protocols, architecture, and security.
* Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
* Experience with SDN controllers (e.g., Open Daylight, ONOS) and network virtualization platforms.
* Familiarity with cloud networking and infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure).
