Sr. Advanced Systems Engineer – 12‑month contract, onsite, Scottsdale, AZ

Our client is looking for an Sr. Advanced Systems Engineer to join their team for a 12 month contract role in Scottsdale, AZ. This role will be ON-SITE in the office.

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field AND 8+ years of job-related experience,
• OR a Master’s degree and 6+ years of job-related experience.
• Experience with 3G/5G communication systems
• Core networking
• Experience with ground communication systems.
• Strong telephony background and experience
• Strong understanding of core networking
• Experience with Agile development preferred.
• Creative thinker motivated to apply technical standards and methodologies to develop solutions.
• Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and position others for success.
• Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements
• Success leading the systems development life cycle with strong proficiency with requirements management and system modeling tools.
• Strong presentation and communications skills with experience in the art of negotiation and the ability to meet challenging customer requirements with win‑win solutions.

• Department of Defense Secret Clearance is preferred at time of hire.
• Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire.

• Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

As a systems engineer for the client program, you’ll work as a member of a cross functional team responsible for defining, developing and sustaining enhancements to a live communication system. We provide warfighters with a familiar cellular phone‑like service, allowing forces on the ground to communicate directly with others at higher levels of quality and much greater capacity than available through the current system.
