Position Overview

PHIL is seeking a full-time Staff Pharmacist to join our team in either our Columbus, OH or Scottsdale, AZ location.
This is an office-based position.

Pharmacy hours Columbus, OH: 8:30 am - 9:00 pm EST, Monday through Friday. Applicants should be flexible for opening and closing shifts.

Pharmacy hours Scottsdale, AZ: 6:00 am - 7:00 pm MST, Monday through Friday. Applicants should be flexible for opening and closing shifts.

The pharmacist will play a key role in prescription verification, drug utilization review, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, while collaborating across departments to improve patient health outcomes and adherence.

Responsibilities
  • Prescription Verification & Drug Utilization Review: Verify prescriptions and conduct drug utilization reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • PA Review & Prescription Transfers: Review Prior Authorization requests and transfer patient prescriptions to help ensure medications are delivered to patients in a timely manner.
  • Project Execution: Deliver and execute new and ongoing pharmacy projects/initiatives in a timely manner to improve pharmacy services and patient experience.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including adherence to HIPAA standards and pharmacy law.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with PHIL team members from different departments to ensure patient safety and support seamless workflows across the organization.
  • Patient Adherence & Health Outcomes: Collaborate to create better health outcomes by improving patient adherence to their medication regimen.
  • Ownership of Pharmacy Operations: Demonstrate ownership of pharmacy operations, meeting expectations for productivity, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain a critical focus on accuracy while managing multiple priorities.
  • Operational Support: Perform or assist the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) with operational tasks as needed to maintain workflow and meet deadlines.

    Collaboration:

    Participate in meetings and work groups to address issues, obtain approvals, and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
Qualifications
  • Education: RPh required;
    Pharm

    D strongly preferred
  • Licensure: Licensed pharmacist in OH or AZ, depending on the physical location; applicants with multiple state licensure are preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a pharmacist; experience in a start-up environment or managerial position highly preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Reliable and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively
