The CORE Institute continues to grow, and we are looking for a Pool, Radiologic Technologist in our Peoria Lakes Clinic. Please see below for the functions and requirements for this position.
This is not a full‑time position. Hours are on an as‑needed basis.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Performs radiology procedures as ordered by physicians and providers.
- Travels to other clinics as directed by Chief Technologist and/or Radiology Director.
- Processes room add‑on cases prior to scheduled cases.
- Uses equipment in compliance to all safety requirements.
- Complies with all HIPAA and OSHA requirements.
- Reports any patient complaints or concerns to the Chief Technologist.
- Establishes and maintains effective communication with physicians, employees and other departments.
- Responds to patient questions as required to resolve issues and maintain high patient satisfaction levels.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Attends required department staff meetings.
- The job holder must demonstrate current competencies for job position.
- Associates Degree in Radiology Technology and current ARRT certification.
- 1–2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital or clinic environment.
- Current state and ARRT certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Knowledge of radiology exam policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of operating a PC and applicable computer software.
- Knowledge of safety requirements within the department.
- Skill in production of radiology exams.
- Skill in obtaining patient information via the computer.
- Skill in maintaining professional relationships with patients, family members and the public.
- Ability to effectively care for patients.
- Ability to communicate clearly to patients, family members and staff.
- Ability to maintain professional relationships with providers.
- Normal office environment.
- Some travel within community.
- Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment.
- Combination of bending, lifting and transferring activities.
- Manual dexterity using a calculator and computer keyboard.
