Job Summary

Provide therapeutic massage for members and guests in a luxury setting, delivered with hospitality and professionalism.

Summary Of Essential Functions
  • Attract and retain members by consistently providing excellent customer service, including anticipating guest needs, adhering to the club’s standards for spa guest service, and communicating guest issues to Spa Management or Management‑on‑Duty.
  • Interact with employees, members, and guests in a manner aligned with the People, Places and Programs components of the Village Standards.
  • Stock and prepare rooms for guest arrival.
  • Uphold sanitation and sterilization standards as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures.
  • Promptly greet guests and provide spa tours when needed.
  • Escort guests to the treatment room.
  • Perform services while keeping guest satisfaction as a priority and running on time for the next guest.
  • Provide guests with thorough, knowledgeable professional massage.
  • Maintain schedules and work hours as booked.
  • Escort guests to the locker room after treatment or to the relaxation room if they receive additional treatments.
  • Clean the room and prepare it for the next guest.
  • Restock supplies as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
  • Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Maintain a physical presence within the Village during assigned duties.
Knowledge / Skills Required
  • Minimum of one year experience in Massage Therapy.
  • AZ Licensed Massage certification.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service to members and guests.
  • Ability to obtain CPR certification through company training.
  • Cooperative, positive attitude, and teamwork skills in a scheduled environment.
  • Professional and sensitive interaction with guests and co‑workers.
  • Dependability and adaptability to schedule changes, including cancellations and additions.
Knowledge / Skills Preferred
  • Previous experience in a luxury private club, resort, or spa.
  • Experience performing therapeutic, deep tissue, and sports massages.

Spa hours are 9:00 am–5:00 pm Tuesday–Saturday;
Sunday 10:00 am–3:00 pm.

Required Abilities Physical Activity

This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, sitting, lifting, reaching, pinching, grasping, and feeling with hands and fingertips to massage clients. Substantial repetitive wrist, hand, and finger motions gauge the condition of client’s soft tissues. The role manages and treats massage care needs of clients, conveys detailed spoken instructions, and receives written and oral communication.

Physical Requirement

Light to medium work involving standing or sitting most of the time. Frequent exertion of 10–50 pounds to massage, lift, carry, push, and pull the human body. Requires talking and listening.

Visual Requirement

Close visual acuity to determine massage care needs, cleanliness, neatness, and thoroughness.

Working Conditions

Exposure to spa treatment appliances, tools, and equipment, electrical current, vibrations, wet surfaces and floors. Frequent exposure to atmospheric conditions such as high heat, fumes, odors, chemicals, and massage oils. The position is frequently performed in close quarters and spa treatment areas.
