Medical Receptionist – Physical Therapy
Ortho Arizona is hiring a skilled Medical Receptionist – Physical Therapy to join our elite team of renowned healthcare providers.

Pay & LocationStarting from $17 per hour, Scottsdale, AZ.

- Answer phone in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner, screen and route calls as needed, create phone notes in the electronic medical record, and provide information to patients.
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients: greet, check in, check out, and provide excellent patient service.
- Manage schedules and assist with insurance verification and other physical therapy insurance requirements.
- Support physical therapy staff by keeping the front desk organized and running smoothly.
- Assist in indexing patient documents to the correct chart.
- Assist in routing electronic faxes to the correct fax folder or uploading to the correct patient chart.
- Perform other duties as needed during down time.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Excellent customer/patient service skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Working knowledge of computer programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to understand and perform training on practice management software.
- Will continue to expand knowledge of practice management software as updates occur.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures.
- Minimum qualification:
High School diploma or GED.
- At least one year of medical office experience.
- Bilingual language skills are a plus.
- Basic phone handling skills – Contact Center experience.
- Basic knowledge of insurance plans and the specialty referral process.
