Description
Devereux Arizona’s Residential Treatment Center (RTC) provides intensive, 24‑hour support for youth aged 7 to 17 who are experiencing serious emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. In a structured, therapeutic environment we combine clinical expertise with compassionate, trauma‑informed care to help youth heal, grow and build a brighter future. The RTC features dormitories, an accredited K‑12 school, food services, 24/7 on‑site nursing, and specialized therapy and clinical services.
LeadDirect Care Professionals
Lead DCPs are responsible for the health and safety of campus individuals, and assist Program Managers with supervising, planning, and implementing day‑to‑day program activities. Direct support duties include helping individuals with mental health, managing behaviors and emotional needs, de‑escalating crisis situations, treatment plan implementation, personal care (bathing, dressing), medication management, transport, fostering social skills, and supporting direct care staff. Lead DCPs also serve as a role model, mentor, leader, and trainer to Direct Care Professionals, and assist with enrichment activities such as art, music, culinary arts, and athletics.
PayRange
$20 – $22 per hour
Shift Differentials$1 per hour for 3 pm–11 pm and $2 per hour for 11 pm–7 am, 7 days a week.

- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or GED required;
Bachelor’s degree in human services preferred. - One year of work experience in behavioral health service delivery or six months Devereux experience.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Valid Arizona driver’s license is required.
- Must be able to pass a 36‑month DMV check.
- Pre‑employment physical and job demand assessment (if applicable).
- Drug test within 24 hours of offer, negative results required.
- Must attend a two‑week new hire orientation, Mon‑Fri 8:30 am‑5 pm (paid).
- Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions. Arizona Revised Statutes Notice (ARS 36‑411).
