As the Benefits Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring a competitive and compliant benefits offering, maintaining alignment with all relevant regulations and policies, and advising leadership on emerging trends and opportunities for continuous improvement. This position reports to the Senior Director of Benefits & Wellness.
** This is a hybrid role based out of our Scottsdale, AZ office.**
Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in group benefits and 401(k) plan administration
- Experience with leaves of absence (LOA), ADA accommodations, and workers’ compensation programs
- Deep knowledge of federal and state regulations (ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, etc.)
- Leadership experience in team management and vendor relations
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis
Benefits Program Oversight
- Manage all benefits programs including health, dental, vision, 401(k), leave of absence/accommodations, and workers’ compensation
- Ensure offerings are competitive, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals
- Oversee leave of absence and workers’ compensation administration, working with third-party vendors
- Manage eligibility, enrollment, employer matching, loans, compliance testing, audits, and participant communications
- Supervise benefits team to ensure high-quality service
- Lead annual Open Enrollment process
- Handle daily operations such as enrollments, COBRA, vendor file transfers, invoice processing, and audits
- Maintain legal and internal policy compliance
- Build relationships with carriers and vendors for service excellence
- Analyze benefit utilization and costs, prepare reports for strategic decisions
- Document processes, develop employee materials, and improve procedures
Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field
- At least 5 years in benefits administration, including health and retirement plans
- Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in Word and Power Point
- Experience managing LOA and workers’ compensation
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Discretion with confidential information
- Benefits platform experience (Dayforce preferred)
- Professional certifications like CEBS or CBP are a plus
