Technical Recruiter and Business Development

Phoenix, AZ | Full-Time | $36K Base + Commission (OTE: $65K-$80K)

Fast-growing recruiting firm targeting specializing in Technical/Engineering roles. Join our Phoenix office as our first local hire, working directly with the founder and a global team. Ground-floor opportunity in a scaling business.

50/50 hybrid role combining business development and full-cycle recruiting. You'll prospect new clients, close job orders, source top talent, and manage placements from start to finish.

Business Development (50%):

• Prospect and cold call potential clients (15-20 calls daily)
• Conduct discovery meetings to understand hiring needs
• Build and maintain client relationships
• Close job orders and secure new business (goal: 1-2 new clients/month)
• Manage 10-15 active client accounts by mid-year
• Source candidates using Linked In Recruiter, job boards, and networking
• Screen 8+ candidates daily via phone/video
• Submit 8+ qualified candidates weekly to job orders
• Coordinate interviews and manage candidate experience
• Negotiate offers and close placements
• Build talent pipelines in key specialty areas

Required:

• 1-3 years of sales, recruiting, or customer-facing experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated with strong work ethic and resilience
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficient with technology and able to learn new systems quickly
• Available to work in-office in Phoenix 5 days/week

Preferred:

• Recruiting or staffing agency experience
• Experience with Linked In Recruiter, ATS, or CRM systems

Commission Structure:

• BD: 10-12% of gross profit on placements from clients you source
• Recruiting: 20-25% of gross profit on candidates you place
• Commissions paid within 7 days of client payment

Year 1 Earnings Examples:

• 6 placements = $62,400 total comp
• 8 placements = $71,200 total comp (target)
• 10 placements = $80,000 total comp
