Position Summary

The Lead Solutions Architect will design and develop HR Technology domain architecture (integrated process, applications, data and technology) solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform technical planning, architecture development and modify specifications.
  • Develop specifications for new products/services, applications and service offerings.
  • Assess compatibility and integration of proposed products/services to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies.
  • Accountability and oversight for designing & building solutions for HR Technology from cradle to grave by providing leadership and oversight to tech leads who are intimately familiar with the application.
  • Perform Buy vs Build analysis and provide final recommendation based on qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Participate in architecture design reviews, identify gaps and recommend design changes.
  • Leverage technical expertise and domain knowledge to identify application optimization needs.
  • Lead proofs‑of‑concept and technology deep dives specific to partner technologies.
  • Advise and assist application development teams with technical roadblocks such as performance challenges.
  • Recommend opportunities to drive cost efficiencies and eliminate technical debt.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define the architectural vision, strategy and roadmap.
  • Engage business users, technology teams and leadership to gather requirements and ensure alignment between solutions and business objectives.
  • Provide recommendations and oversee the implementation of governance frameworks.
  • Evaluate emerging products, technologies, tools and frameworks for technology adoption.
  • Encourage knowledge sharing, identify opportunities for enhancing architectural processes and support professional development initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years’ hands‑on experience with software design and development.
  • 8+ years’ SME level technical experience in application, data, integration and security architecture design.
  • 4+ years’ enterprise architecture and system design experience (executing, planning, delivering & supporting solutions).
  • 4+ years’ public cloud experience (Azure/GCP).
  • 4+ years’ experience with SQL and No

    SQL database technologies as well as cloud database technologies.
  • 2+ years’ experience with SaaS/PaaS platforms (e.g., Workday, Oracle Cloud, Work Brain, UKG, Mule Soft, Boomi, OIC).
  • 2+ years’ experience with technologies that integrate modern applications and legacy platforms (e.g., Kafka).
  • 2+ years’ experience with security frameworks and SSO, OAuth/SAML/OIDC authentication.
  • 2+ years’ experience with micro‑service architecture & APIs.
  • 2+ years’ experience with container platforms and deployment patterns.
  • 1+ year experience with observability and implementation techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
  • GCP/Azure Architect cloud certification.
  • SaaS product certification.
  • Design & build apps with AI capabilities integrating to LLMs.
  • Understanding of AI app implementation patterns and agent frameworks.
  • Experience or exposure to process automation tools and technologies.
  • Collaboration, teamwork and growth mindset (agility, personal and professional development).
Education
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Specialized training or relevant professional certifications preferred.
Pay Range

$ – $ (base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary for all positions in the job grade). The actual base salary offer will depend on experience, education, geography and other factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short‑term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above and includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
