** Scope:
*** We are looking for a skilled
** Linux Systems Engineer
** to administer, maintain, and enhance our Linux-based infrastructure. The role involves managing various Linux distributions, ensuring system stability, automating operational tasks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business-critical applications.
*
* What you’ll do:

*** Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE).
* Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings.
* Administer storage, LVM, and file systems (ext4, xfs, etc.).
* Perform OS patching, upgrades, and kernel tuning.
* Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
* Maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures.
* Implement OS hardening best practices.
* Apply security patches and monitor for vulnerabilities.
* Develop and maintain scripts in Bash, Python, or Ansible for automation.
* Support infrastructure-as-code deployments.
* Work with application, database, and Dev Ops teams for Linux-based deployments.
* Provide on-call support for critical issues.
** What we are looking for:
*** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
* 3 to 8 years of Linux server administration in enterprise environments.
* Strong skills in RHEL/CentOS administration, including systemd, networking, and storage.
* Proficiency in Bash scripting and familiarity with Python or Ansible.
* Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, etc.).
* Understanding of ITIL processes.
* Support (24 x 7 support) – shift rotation, work weekends and evenings
* Team player, fast learner, work in a fasted paced environment and share knowledge.
