An established and independent insurance brokerage is seeking a proactive Personal Lines Agent to join their growing team. The Role

As a Personal Lines Agent, your core focus will be acquiring and retaining individual clients through tailored insurance solutions. You’ll lead the sales process from prospecting through to policy issuance, then transition the account to the dedicated Account Management team for ongoing service. You’ll be supported by internal platforms and rating tools, giving you more time to grow your book of business and deliver value.

Success in this role hinges on consultative sales, excellent follow-through, and the ability to build lasting relationships within your community and beyond.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively generate leads through referrals, digital outreach, and local networking
  • Conduct personal risk assessments and recommend appropriate coverages (e.g., Home, Auto, Umbrella, Renters)
  • Present clear, personalized insurance solutions and guide clients through decision-making
  • Use quoting tools and carrier platforms to prepare accurate proposals and ensure seamless policy binding
  • Provide exceptional service during the sales cycle and conduct annual reviews for renewals
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities (e.g., bundling, personal umbrella, pet insurance)
  • Stay current on underwriting guidelines, product updates, and market trends
  • Manage time and account workload efficiently to maximize service quality and commission potential
Requirements
  • Previous experience in personal lines insurance sales or client advisory
  • Strong product knowledge across key personal coverages (Auto, Home, Renters, Umbrella, etc.)
  • Confident communicator with a customer-first mindset and consultative approach
  • Proficient with CRM tools and comparative raters (e.g., Agency Zoom, PL Rater)
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Licensed in Property & Casualty Insurance
Nice to Have
  • Existing referral relationships (e.g., mortgage brokers, realtors, auto dealerships)
  • Familiarity with agency billing and renewal quoting strategies
  • Experience in a high-volume, independent agency setting
Salary
