Controller​/Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced Controller / Accounting Manager to lead and oversee the accounting and financial operations of a growing construction organization generating $80M–$100M+ in annual revenue. This role is critical to maintaining financial integrity, supporting strategic growth, and ensuring accurate project-level and company-wide financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience, deep knowledge of construction accounting, and hands‑on expertise with Work in Progress (WIP) reporting.

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting
• Manage and review WIP (Work in Progress) schedules
  , revenue recognition, and job cost reporting
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management for a high‑growth organization
• Maintain compliance with GAAP
  , internal controls, and external regulatory requirements
• Prepare and present financial statements and management reports
  to executive leadership
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring efficiency and professional development
• Partner with operations, project managers, and executives to analyze project performance and financial risk
• Oversee external audits, tax filings, and coordination with CPAs and financial advisors
• Support system optimization and ERP/accounting software improvements as the company scales

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
  , preferably in construction or project‑based industries
• Proven experience managing accounting operations for organizations with $80M–$100M+ in annual revenue
• Strong expertise in construction accounting, job costing, and WIP reporting
• Hands‑on leadership experience managing accounting teams
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
• High proficiency with accounting systems and Excel

• CPA certification (strongly preferred)
• Experience with construction ERPs (e.g., Sage, Viewpoint, Acumatica, or similar)
• Background in high‑growth or multi‑project environments
