Job Summary:

Management of staff and department to ensure material is received, stored, and shipped in accordance with site procedures. Performs functions related to order entry, material tracking, production, and inventory control for the materials/warehouse department. Emphasize efficient day-to-day processing of orders to meet internal and external customer requirements as efficiently as possible. Ensure products are stored, handled, identified, and shipped according to business unit and customer specifications and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and expedites the flow of work and material for the production process.
  • Utilizes customer orders, work orders, production specifications, and production worksheets, ensuring the proper distribution to the appropriate personnel and departments.
  • Updates and maintains database master files. Communicates the projected consumption of raw material, quality, and volume of production. Orders and purchases some production supplies and materials.
  • Compiles statistics, reports the progress of work, and takes physical inventories.
  • Maintains a clean, neat, and safe work environment. Identifies and resolves potential safety hazards.
  • Provides a “Customer Service” attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work, production, and achieving quality standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Required high school diploma or GED equivalent. Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Three to five years of job-related experience required. Previous supervisory experience in manufacturing preferred. Knowledge of QAD Manufacturing Pro a plus. Must be fork-lift certified and maintain a current certification.

  • Able to be aware of all relevant standard operating procedures as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description.
  • Support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target.
  • Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times.
  • Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.

Travel Requirements:

  • None.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Must be able to work assigned shift(s) with overtime as required to complete assignments if necessary. Sitting and/or standing for extended periods may occur as well as getting to and from offices and building sites. If specifically necessitated by customer requirements, must be able to see with or without corrective lenses and distinguish color differences for product and safety issues. Hearing ability should be sufficient to hear and react to audible alarms from distances up to 150 feet.

    The ability to lift and carry various items up to 50 pounds for manufacturing positions or 30 pounds for administrative positions is required.
