Production Manager

This position requires 2nd shift - 5pm - 5:15am Sunday through Tuesday and every other Saturday.
In this role, you will supervise employees in a manufacturing and assembly environment: plan and assign work, implement policies and procedures, and recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnsures effective employee relations. Provides coaching, development, and performance reviews. Administers the hiring, termination, and disciplinary process for production area personnel. Resolves employee issues through problem resolution.
Responsible for ensuring applicable training and compliance associated with work area and products.
Responsible for shift personnel scheduling and assignments, verbal communications and visual checks of all work activity for the duration of each assignment shift, ensuring that quality requirements are being fulfilled.
Provides feedback to proper departments regarding production, quality, engineering, and personnel issues.
Directs and assists training of all production floor positions; topics include, but are not limited to, SOPs, WIs, SPCs, and FDA regulations.
Ensures work areas are kept clean, orderly, and safe. Makes frequent safety inspections with follow‑through reporting and/or corrective actions, including work‑related injuries.
Responsible for finalizing all necessary data that is required for a timely, shift‑to‑shift transition, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
All interactions, workflow, productivity levels, and quality standards are implemented with a "Customer Service" approach to both internal and external customers.
Assists in the decision‑making process in regard to cycle standards and process changes.
Leads continuous process improvement efforts to reduce scrap, cycle times, improve efficiency, and eliminate waste within the production environment.
Performs other duties as assigned based on business needs.
Education- High School Diploma/GED Required
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficient with computer programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, etc.).
Skills and Abilities
Previous supervisory experience in manufacturing preferred.
Must have effective problem‑solving and interpersonal skills.
Proficient with computer programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, etc.).
Must be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they relate to this position.
Supports and contributes to Lean Six Sigma programs and activities toward delivery of the set target.
Adheres to the company’s safety policy and quality policy at all times.
License and Certifications- Health Services First Aid Certification upon hire preferred.
- Health Services CPR Upon Hire preferred.

Up to 13 business days per year.
Medium‑exerting up to 50 lbs (22 kg) of force occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs (9 kg) of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs (4 kg) of force constantly to move objects.
Additional Requirements- Manufacturing environment.
- Occasionally required to work on different shifts.
- Regularly uses hands and fingers to operate objects, tools, or controls; frequently required to stand, talk, and hear for long periods of time.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities may be needed by this job, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must suit up in appropriate clean room uniform in conjunction with all annual testing/certification processes.
- Regularly wear base clean room uniform, head and face guards, gloves and safety glasses, safety goggles, safety shoes.
