The Overnight Registered Nurse provides support to the medical and clinical team to ensure a consistently high level of medical care within a detox program in Scottsdale, AZ. This position works closely with medical and clinical staff and Behavioral Health Technicians in providing client care. Responsibilities include performing nursing duties, providing direct medical care to clients and acting as a medical resource and support to Behavioral Health Technicians as needed.

7 AM – 7 PM

• Assist with medication management, client medication education and administration according to physician orders and in accordance with facility policy.
• Assist with clients’ prescription medication refill and administration.
• Document and maintain accurate and current client records in EMR software system.
• Complete intake assessments and other required documentation upon admissions.
• Oversee work and responsibilities of BHTs and act as a resource for BHTs in performance of job duties related to client care.
• Monitor and observe clients upon admission, manage any medical challenges within license scope and contact a physician as appropriate.
• Dispose of bio‑hazard waste in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Monitor and observe urinalysis and/or breathalyzer tests as needed.
• Monitor and document client vital signs, physical condition and behaviors as part of the program structure.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings, trainings and supervision.
• Abide by all legal and ethical standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Maintains current certification/licensure for this position:

• RN license
• BLS Provider
• Fingerprint Clearance Card

• Frequently required to stand/walk/sit for long periods of time.
• Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.
• Occasionally required to list/push/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to assist clients up to 300 lbs, entering and exiting vehicles.
