Position Summary

We're looking for an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse II (LPN) to join our growing allergy practice. The ideal candidate has a passion for clinical care, excellent communication skills, and thrives in a fast‑paced environment focused on quality and patient satisfaction. As an LPN, you will provide support for a diverse number of tasks, including performing allergy and asthma testing, administering injections, educating patients, and creating allergy serums and oral desensitization vials for our food allergy program.

This position reports to the Practice Manager and providers onsite but will work closely with the team consisting of physicians, NPs, nurses, other LVNs and MAs. This is a full‑time, non‑exempt (hourly) position, scheduled for 40 hours per week. Work hours may vary based on assigned clinic location, Monday through Friday. This role will be based primarily in our Scottsdale clinic but may also provide support to other nearby locations.

The ideal candidate is adaptable and enjoys collaborating across multiple sites to ensure seamless operations and excellent patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care &

    Education:
    • Educate patients and families on allergy and asthma management, including respiratory spacer usage and anaphylaxis awareness.
    • Deliver high‑quality clinical care and compassionate support throughout the patient visit.
  • Clinical Procedures & Testing:
    • Assist with and perform skin prick testing, patch testing, and breathing assessments.
    • Prepare and administer allergy immunotherapy, nebulized medications, and respiratory treatments per provider orders and clinical protocols.
    • Take vital signs, perform patient intake, administer allergy shots, and assist with skin testing under the direction of a physician or RN.
    • Support procedures such as spirometry, food, and drug challenges.
    • Monitor patients during and after treatment, reporting concerns to the clinical lead.
  • Provider Support & Documentation:
    • Prepare exam rooms and patients for provider visits and assist during procedures.
    • Send prescriptions, complete care plans and discharge summaries.
    • Accurately document vitals, test results, and patient data in the EMR system (Mod Med).
    • Ensure all clinical spaces are clean, organized, and well‑stocked.
    • Contribute to high‑quality care delivery within a collaborative team‑based environment.
  • Administrative & Operational Tasks:
    • Submit prior authorizations as needed.
    • Organize and stock clinical areas.
    • Emergency medications monthly.
    • Prepare allergy testing trays and immunotherapy folders.
    • Use sterile technique for serum preparation in accordance with ACAAI guidelines.
    • Support both front and back‑office functions as needed.
  • Training, Compliance, & Professional Standards:
    • Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory guidelines.
