This is a full-time position based on a four-day workweek, with flexibility for experienced candidates to consider a three-day schedule. There are no on-call, weekend, or overnight responsibilities, reflecting the hospital’s commitment to maintaining an exceptional work-life balance for its team.
Role Description And ResponsibilitiesThe incoming surgeon will have the autonomy to shape and grow the surgical service while collaborating closely with specialists in internal medicine and other disciplines. Responsibilities include performing a range of soft tissue and orthopedic procedures, providing consultations for complex surgical cases, and supporting collaborative case management with referring veterinarians. The position is ideal for a surgeon who values innovation, teaching, and teamwork and who thrives in a setting that blends advanced medicine with a culture of trust and mutual respect.
PracticeDetails
The hospital specializes in small animal internal medicine, cardiology, oncology, dermatology, and advanced surgical care for dogs and cats. With a strong referral base and a high internal medicine caseload, the practice offers a steady stream of complex and rewarding cases. The new facility features cutting‑edge technology, including CT imaging, two ultrasound machines, digital radiography, fluoroscopy, endoscopy and laparoscopy towers, a fully equipped surgical suite for both soft tissue and orthopedic procedures, and a Holmium laser for minimally invasive cystoscopic and lithotripsy work.
Specialists enjoy one‑hour appointments for new cases and thirty‑minute rechecks, with flexibility to adjust scheduling as preferred.
You will join a close‑knit, collegial team consisting of two internists, one internal medicine resident, eight skilled technicians, and seven additional support staff. CandidateRequirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA).
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in.
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so.
- Base salary up to $350,000
- Up to 27% production percentage
