Thrive Pet Healthcare is seeking Emergency Veterinarians to join our team as Traveling Emergency Veterinarians. The Travel ER veterinarian role combines the flexibility and great travel options of an independent relief veterinarian with the stability and safety of a full‑time position with industry‑leading benefits.
Qualifications- 3 or more years of ER Experience or ER Internship trained plus 1 to 2 years of ER Experience.
- Specialty/Emergency Experience strongly required.
- Surgical Experience and skills required.
- Full‑time: to qualify for full‑time benefits, PTO, and discretionary funds, travel veterinarians must average a minimum of 9 shifts in a 4‑week block.
- Part‑time: a minimum of 3 shifts per 4 weeks qualifies for part‑time benefits, with limited benefits options on a case‑by‑case basis.
Shifts are managed through our online scheduling platform, Jobs Unleashed. Travel ER Veterinarians have first pick of those shifts, with direct control of scheduling following the team manager’s guidelines for focus hospitals, regions, and shift types. Any additional shifts beyond the agreed minimum are optional and compensated as outlined below.
Compensation- Competitive compensation.
- Shift/Pro Model (above industry ER production %).
- Typical earnings from $200,000 annually to $300,000+ annually.

- Discretionary fund of $3,500 per year.
- 120 hours of paid time off, equivalent to 4 weeks, with no impact on production plus 2 additional days for CEs.
