Position Overview Rusty Taco is hiring a Temporary Prep Cook to support kitchen and concession operations during Arizona Diamondbacks Spring Training at Salt River Fields. This role focuses on food preparation, organization, and supporting the concession team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
This position offers the potential to transition into a full-time role following Spring Training based on performance and business needs.
Pay Rate $25-$30 per hour, including tips. Tips are pooled and paid out according to company policy.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare ingredients and menu items according to Rusty Taco recipes and standards
- Assist with food prep including chopping, portioning, and assembling items
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas, coolers, and storage
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and temperature control standards
- Support concession staff during peak service times as needed
- Assist with setup, restocking, and breakdown of kitchen areas
- Work efficiently in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment
- Must be available to work the full event period:
February 20-March 24 - Mostly day shifts (10:00 AM-4:00 PM)
- One evening game required
- Weekend availability required (game days)
- Previous prep cook, kitchen, or food service experience preferred
- Basic food prep and knife skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in kitchen and outdoor environments
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
High-performing team members may be considered for full-time prep cook or kitchen roles with Rusty Taco after Spring Training concludes.
