The RoleAs a Part‑Time Contract Instructor, you’ll deliver engaging, progressive classes in jiu‑jitsu (ground control and submissions), combat conditioning (functional strength, endurance, and mobility for real‑world demands), and close‑quarters combat (strikes, grapples, and evasion in confined spaces). As our membership expands, you’ll have opportunities to lead 1–2 sessions daily, with room to incorporate women’s self‑defense modules (a huge plus if you have expertise here).
Key Responsibilities- Design and lead safe, effective classes for adults (beginners to advanced) emphasizing practical application over sport.
- Adapt sessions to group sizes (8–20 participants) and incorporate UDT’s 8‑level curriculum for seamless progression.
- Foster a supportive, inclusive environment, especially for women and first‑timers.
- Track attendance and feedback to refine programs; collaborate with our team on events like holiday security workshops.
- Maintain certifications and stay current on best practices in tactical training.
- Required:
3+ years teaching jiu‑jitsu (BJJ black belt or equivalent preferred), combat conditioning (e.g., Cross Fit, functional fitness certs like NASM or ACE), and close‑quarters combat (experience in Krav Maga, Wing Chun, or military‑style CQC). - Location:
Based in Arizona. - Nice‑to‑Have:
Specialized women’s self‑defense training (e.g., R.A.D. or similar programs) to enhance our female‑focused offerings. - Passion for reality‑based training; background in law enforcement, military, or MMA a bonus.
